My name is Antonia, and I’m very interested in the room you posted in the Facebook group for a long-term stay. I’ll be moving to Luxembourg during the first week of April with a work visa, and I’m planning to stay for at least one year, so I’m looking for something long term.
Now, I’m still in Chile, so unfortunately, I can’t visit the room in person before arriving. But if you’re open to it, I’d be very happy to arrange a video call so we can meet and see if it’s a good fit for both of us
A bit about me: I’m Chilean and I studied Public Administration. I’ve always worked with foundations and nonprofit organizations, mainly in administration, accounting, and finance. I currently have a full-time job, and I’ll be keeping it when I move to Luxembourg, it will become fully remote, so I’ll continue receiving a stable monthly income. For the first months, my job and savings will give me a solid financial cushion.
I’m also aware of how renting usually works in Luxembourg, the security deposit, one month in advance, and sometimes the agency fee, and I’m fully prepared to cover those costs if needed.
Years ago, I did an exchange program in Bonn, Germany, which was an amazing experience and made me feel very comfortable living abroad. On 2024 I did another work visa in Canada, I also have experience sharing apartments (in Chile I shared my apartment), so I’m used to respecting common spaces, communicating clearly, and keeping things clean and organized.
On a more personal note, I love cooking and baking, I do sports regularly, and I enjoy reading. I’m also into techno music and usually go out dancing about once a month. Since Luxembourg is quite small, I’ll probably travel to bigger cities for that. I’ve visited several European countries and have friends around Europe, so I’d love to travel whenever I can, although I don’t know anyone in Luxembourg yet.
I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I’m currently learning French.
